Fanis Deiktakis

                                 in the Bengali dialect means New Road.

                The musical ensemble Notun Rasta was created the summer of 2011 ,

  

     by       Fanis Deiktakis  ( Bio )       :  stringed instruments ( guitar acoustic - electric,

                                                                   Cretan Lyra,  tampoura ), vocal .                                                         

    with    Abdul  Kudus  Sikder           :  Indian harmonio , vocal .

               Ahn Shawkat Imam              :  Indian Tabla  .

               singer Sommon                    :  vocal,  percussion .

 

              in order to present  the composer's own ethnic musical compositions  and songs as well as to highlight 

    the classic Indian music and songs based on Ghazal poetry .

             The effort is to walk in the same aesthetic path, elements of qualitative Oriental culture of  the  wider region

    of  India ( India,  Bangladesh,  Pakistan ) together with the Greek rizitiko element.          

             The aim of this collaboration is to elevate the soul of listener via the alternating low dynamics of  the musical phrases     

    the maintenance of equal note (during the piece) and reveal the energy of love that is strong in Ghazal poetry and

    in the genuine  Εastern - rizitiki(Roots) music.

             Notun Rasta in its development concequently as a concept , is not bound by the number of individuals (musicians)

    participating  neither from the alternations of these, as long as the objective remains the same.
